~ 56.1% of the respondents visited country parks with a mean of 5.9 times and an average stay for 212.2 minutes in 2017.
~ The three districts with the highest percentage of country park users were Sai Kung (68.7%), Eastern District (66.8%), and Tsuen Wan (63.0%).
~ Hiking (47.0%), walking (16.9%), and barbeque (11.0%) were the top three activities done in country parks.
~ The top three reasons respondents cited for visiting the country park were ‘good scenery or fresh air’ (48.3%), ‘arrangements by others’ (28.3%), and ‘convenient transport’ (25.4%).
~ Lack of time (28.2%), lack of interest (25.5%), and no companions/organizers (18.5%) are the top three reasons why country park non-users did not visit country parks.
有關建議
~ Indepth and comprehensive analysis are needed to investigate the role of country parks in the wellbeing of the population.
~ Future studies are required for public health researchers to formulate and publicize completed evidence-based health promotion strategies through country park usage.
