~ In terms of Big Data analysis, the report reveals that the overall sentiment analysis on the online discussions from 2018–2020 on the GBA and youth development was generally neutral. Of the 196,274 posts collected by the research team, 71% were neutral, 16% were positive, and 13% were negative.
~ Hong Kong youngsters’ main strength is biliterate and trilingual proficiency compared to mainland youths, over half. The others are international visions (39%) and intercultural understanding between East and West (37%).
~ Hong Kong youngsters’ main weakness is unfamiliar with the local working culture compared to mainland youths (61%). Others are lack of local interpersonal network (60%) and unfamiliarity with the local environment (56%).
~ GBA is much better than Hong Kong regarding innovation, technology, trading, and logistics. More than one-third of respondents believed that the career prospect in innovation and technology (39%) and trading and logistics (35%) in the GBA is better than in Hong Kong.
~ The most significant incentive of working or starting a business in GBA is lower living expenses for the respondents, accounting for more than 45%. While over half of them deem that the low wages in working in GBA are the most unattractive compared to Hong Kong, accounting for 22%.

~ The government should enhance the understanding of the local work culture, policies, and regulations in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
~ The government and conglomerates should organize more GBA internships, study trips and placement programmes.
~ The government should establish a one-stop platform to facilitate young adults’ career development in the GBA.
~ The government should revisit the requirements of the Greater Bay Area Youth Employment Scheme.
