主要數字、結果撮要~ 66.7% of parents with children aged 6-17 have used computer before. 70.0% of children used computer on a daily basis. 98.1% of families had an Internet-connected computer at home.

~ 50.6% of parents and 61.5% of children thought that the amount of time the children spent was “about right”; 36.3% of parents and 28.2% of children thought that the children spent more or too much time in using Internet.

~ 61.1% of children reported that they have frequently/ almost frequently used the computer alone without their parents around; 0.2% of children said they have frequently/ almost frequently told friends met first on the Internet about information of their families.

~ 69.2% of children have heard and understood infection by computer viruses and other malicious software; 41.3% of children have heard or understood cyber-bullying.

~ 11.2% of teenagers aged 10-17 were facing medium or high level of risk of Internet addiction.

~ 72.4% of children claimed reminders from parents of having used the computer for too long or too late was the method (sometimes/ frequently/ almost always) used by parents and 57.2% of the children find it effective or very effective.
