~ There are significant correlations between each of the three psychosocial competence measure, i.e. social skills, helping attitudes and leadership. (p<.01). There were also significant correlations between these psychological competence measures and the group variable. (member group vs non-member group) (p<.01).

~ The mean scores indicate that the rating for all psychosocial competence measures were higher for the adolescents in the member group than for those in the nonmember group. (Member Group-Social Skills (2.93), Helping attitudes (4.35), Leadership (3.22) and Nonmember group- Social Skills (2.82), Helping attitudes (4.03), Leadership (3.08)).

~ The other independent variable- gender, age, single parents, number of siblings (p<.05) and the household income (p<.01) were less strongly related to the psychosocial competence of the adolescents for social skills, helping attitudes and leadership (p<.001).
